Go and enjoy a day at the Malta Falconry Centre watching falconers fly several different species of well-trained birds of prey and catch a glimpse of these majestic birds in free flight. The aviary collection includes The Maltese Falcon, Lanner Falcon, Bald Eagle, Steppe Eagle, African Vultures, Golden Eagles as well as a variety of birds of prey that make up the display team. Learn about these birds of prey, as well as about Malta’s ancient falconry tradition which dates back to the 13th century, when Emperors from all over Europe used to send their royal falconers to obtain highly-prized birds of Maltese origin. The Malta Falconry Centre has ample parking, as well as outdoor picnic areas and all the amenities that you would expect in a modern tourist attraction.
